What Happens When You Delete

Deletion is immediate and permanent. Here is exactly what is removed and what may be kept.

Deleted

  • Your account and sign-in details — mobile number, email address and name
  • Your profile, including your profile photo
  • Catalogue items, images and other content stored with your account
  • Subscription and plan records, payment history and billing addresses in your account
  • In-app notifications, and every signed-in session (you are signed out everywhere)

May be kept

  • Payment and invoice records that Indian tax and accounting law requires us, or our payment partners (Paytm, Google Play, Apple), to keep — only for as long as the law requires, then deleted.
  • Security logs and backups, which may hold traces of your account for a limited period until they are routinely overwritten.
  • Messages you sent our support team, which are stored separately — ask support@okira.in to delete them too.

Store subscriptions

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through Google Play or the App Store. Google and Apple bill you directly, so cancel it in the store, or it keeps renewing and charging you.
